The index rose slightly this month on a volume of 13 contracts traded in all regions except the lower South Island. The Energy Link index excludes contracts from EnergyHedge and less than 6 months duration, and of the 13 contracts traded there was a relatively even mix of one, two and three year contracts.

The average 3 year-ahead prices of EnergyHedge contracts rose from last month and now sits at 7.8c/kWh, just under 12% lower than the index value of 8.8c/kWh.
