The index fell slightly this month on a volume of 19 contracts traded in mid and upper North Island, and in the lower South Island. The total volume traded on these 19 contracts totals almost 1,300 GWh which is significantly up on previous months.
The average 3 year-ahead price of EnergyHedge contracts rose from last month and now sits at 7.7 c/kWh, 11% lower than the index value of 8.7 c/kWh.
