Total storage increased 56.7 GWh over the last week. South Island controlled storage increased 2.8% to 1553 GWh; South Island uncontrolled storage increased 3% to 510 GWh; with Taupo storage decreasing 0.1% to 501 GWh.

The Energy Link index increased this month to 7.6 c/kWh on a volume of 17 contracts traded (6 CFD, 11 FPVV). The Energy Link index excludes contracts from ASX, and contracts less than 6 months in duration.

Average prices decreased by 7% at Benmore, decreased by 8% at Islington, decreased by 6% at Haywards and decreased by 6% at Otahuhu over the last week. New Zealand storage increased to 2507 GWh. 

Prices reached $100 at Otahuhu during morning and evening peaks

Prices at Haywards averaged $52.25 for the day. Huntly, which returned for a single day on Tuesday has now exited the market again.

Average spot prices moved up 11% - 13% over the week, ranging between $0 and $179/MWh

 Total storage decreased 98.9 GWh over the last week. South Island controlled storage decreased 4% to 1566 GWh; South Island uncontrolled storage decreased 9.8% to 272 GWh; with Taupo storage decreasing 0.8% to 498 GWh.
